The Beauty of Spain
The dirt path winds through freshly cut fields and beautiful skies.
Day 8, Estella to Los Arcos
Spain is stunning, and I can’t imagine a better way to see the beauty than by walking through it. See photos with captions below for today’s walk.

What I call the Spanish Cliffs of Dover. Just as white, just as massive as the English, they were a constant all morning.
Although not about the road, this is a good view of what the path is like. Igúzquiza, in the region of Navarre.
Very cool rows of trees, beautiful skies.
The telling signs of a rain storm, common in the afternoons.
Prepared pilgrim.
Oh yeah, I’ve seen this before. Nothing doing.
My favorite Camino sign, cigarette and all.
This is what you call an oasis, out in the middle of nowhere.
Cantina, aka, oasis. It’s hard to convey how wonderful it is to turn a corner and see one of these food trucks. And as happy as we were to see them, they were just as happy to see us!
Pilgrims wait for their provisions from this well stocked cantina
The Camino at a glance. Follow the yellow squares on this handy restaurant place mat to see where we are and how much more we have to go. We started at Saint Jean Pied du Port (1st far right yellow square), and the white square with the blue cross is the restaurant where we are now, Los Arcos, Navarre.
