Estella: Rest and All You Can Eat Day, # 1
Awk! Is this the same cafe we were at two days ago? I stopped walking when I came around a corner and saw this cafe located off a large plaza in Estella, looking very much like a cafe located just off a large plaza in Pamplona.
Day 7, Estella
We started seven days ago and have strategically placed days to recover. This is our first official non-walking day, unless you consider how much walking happens when one is in search of food, all day long. See below for eats and their temporal gastronomic designations.
First coffee and juice.
First breakfast: fresh croissant, hard boiled egg and yogurt while Facebooking. 2nd coffee lurking somewhere.
First lunch or second breakfast, perhaps blunch, your choice: chorizo and baguette, iced tea, and no filter will make that chorizo look like anything other than what it looks like.
Sandy first lunch or second breakfast, definitely first tortillia: potato tortilla and baguette.
Addendum to first or second whatever: butter delivery vehicle. More baguette, more montiquellia.
Lunch, again or first: potato frits and fried eggs with a marigold colored yolk.
Afternoon chocolates, and yes. I ate them all.
Dinner appetizer: warm salted nuts.
Sandy’s McNugget salad, precursor to dinner.
Theresa’s Main: I know, it’s a salad but it had many of my favorite things like a slab of grilled goat cheese and Jamón serrano, the Spanish version of prosciutto.
Sandy’s Main: Salmon In cream of spinach sauce.
Dessert: cheesecake, no cake, just a lightly sweetened soft cheese with berry compote.
Next Day leg report. So far, looks good! Except for those things down at the bottom that come into contact with the floor. But they have to stay.
In a Facebook only phenomena, where people don’t actually read what you write, I had to add the following. Addendum: This was an update on the whole heat rash, Sun allergy, Golfer’s vasculitis episode, and how it was almost completely gone, as seen by this photo. But I thank you one and all for approval of my outfit.
