Countdown
Itinerary listing the small towns and km between them on our last day walking 40kms to Santiago de Compostela
Day 28, Arzúa to Santiago de Compostela
Onward and upward!
Today is our final walk, the first of three finals. We have shipped our backpacks ahead to our room in Santiago to make the 40km (25 miles) day more managable.
Even though selfies in mirrors are passé like the man bun, we decide to commemorate our departure into the pre-dawn darkness with one. And in a show of solidarity with my Van-egrino friends, I will be posting in real time* while on the trail.
*Originally posted on FaceBook, many friends would read my updates daily, like reading the news, which I posted at the end of the day. This real-time countdown was greeted with much enthusiasm.
