Quarantine Haiku
It’s quarantine haiku day. Haiku follows the 5-7-5 syllabuls per line format, and subject matter is traditionally about nature and beauty. But it’s 2020 and we’re in a pandemic, so that’s the subject.
Mornings, quietly
Contemplating happenings.
I own a bidet.
In bed with my love.
Quarantine is not so bad.
No need to awake.
The cats are confused.
Why are these humans around?
Pet me, oh servant.
Much time to garden!
But the thing about a thong?
Indeed, becomes floss.
The news, they blather.
Redundant speculation.
I put in ear plugs.
My hair is too long!
Hair stylist home sheltering.
Eyeballing the shears.
First “lunch” comes early.
Mac n’ cheese makes me groggy.
In my chair dozing.
