Big Rocks Reclamation Project, part 2
These and another 12 bags of ivy await their turn to be dumped into the yard waste bin.
I am working a fair amount at the nursery, but that has not detoured me from the Big Rock reclamation project in my front yard. And although I have more or less completed my first pass around the south and west side of the house, that also has not damped my enthusiasm for this project which is a good thing because there is much more to do.
However, I have been derailed. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Republic services, our garbage man, will no longer take any yard waste unless it is in the plastic yard taste bin. Wow. Don’t think I can shove 30 yard waste bags into that there bin. So until I can reduce my refuse, I’m doing smaller projects.
See below for other fun things happening in the yarden.

Good place to hang a hat.
This white tulip has a imperfection I found irresistible. A red stripe on one side . . .
. . . and a green stripe on the other.
What Tuscan Blue, a giant rosemary bush, does if allowed to be itself. This bad boy is about 5’ x 5’ and not holding back. Definitely check your tags when buying rosemary.
A pile of weeds acts as a warning to others.
Volunteer strawberry plants practicing social distancing all by themselves.
Wow did I ever nail it on the colors at the newly minted Easter Egg Lavender Land at the beginning of our driveway. Not that I meant to. I’m planning to add a New Madrid Rose lavender just to complete the look.
Okay so that didn’t go so well. Dead carex in pots. I didn’t know it was possible.
Peanut M&M’s that had a field trip to the garden.
Magnificent Corokia Cotoneaster (Wire Netting bush) waits for a new pot. Gifted to me by my dear friend
