The Beginning

Auspicious start!

Auspicious start!

St. Jean Pied de Port, France

First Camino friends and we haven’t even started. Sandy Brown saw a post on a camino FaceBook page by Alex and Bruce. They needed a ride from the Biarritz airport, same place we were flying into, to St. Jean Pied du Port, an hour away and our destination as well. Their plane was two hours late so they had lost their ride. Our plane was on time but our reservation was lost. So we all took a cab together and came out on top. By the way, the guy in the back ground was trying to deal with graffiti that said “tourists go home,” which had been spray painted on the town’s Tourist Center. Lol.

Our accommodations which look lovely, like my pedicure. And, the walls were literally made of curtains.
